Privacy policy

This page explains what FluidCut collects, why, who processes it for us, and how long we keep it. Cyphen Innovations Private Limited is responsible for your data. Questions go to [email protected].

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store the password itself.
• Content: the links you paste, the videos you upload, recordings of live streams you ask us to capture, your editing instructions, the styles you create, and what we produce from them: transcripts, clips, edits, titles and the reasons a moment was picked.
• Usage and billing: the jobs you run, the credits they used, payment status, and a record of what each job cost us at our providers.
• Technical: your IP address and basic request logs, used for rate limits, abuse prevention and fixing problems.
• Payments: handled by Dodo Payments. We receive the payment status, amount, a customer reference and your email. We never see your card number.

How we use it

To run the service you asked for, to charge and refund credits, to keep the service secure and fair, to answer support requests, and to fix and improve the service. We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising. We don't use your videos or transcripts to train AI models without asking you first.

Who processes it for us

We send only what each provider needs to do its job:

• Soniox (speech to text): the audio of your video or stream, to make the transcript and word timings.
• OpenAI (language model): transcript text and your instructions, to pick moments, write titles and plan edits.
• TypeSafe (scoring model): short transcript excerpts, to score candidate moments.
• Pexels and Pixabay (licensed stock footage): search words only, when an edit adds b-roll. No video or audio of yours is sent.
• Dodo Payments (payments, merchant of record): your email and purchase.
• Cloudflare (network): all traffic to the site passes through Cloudflare to reach our server.
• Cloudflare R2 (storage): your source videos, uploads, clips and edits, until they are deleted on the schedule below.
• Modal (cloud computing): your video, audio and transcript, to transcribe, pick moments and render clips and edits.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC, usage analytics): pages you visit, how you got here, your browser, device and approximate location, to see how the site is used. It does not receive your videos, transcripts or account details.
• Google Fonts: your browser loads the site's fonts from Google, which sees your IP address.

Videos are downloaded from YouTube, Twitch or Kick when you paste a link from those sites.

Where it's stored and for how long

• Downloads from YouTube, Twitch and Kick, your account and the job database run on a server we operate in India. Transcription, moment selection and rendering run on Modal in the United States. Videos, clips and edits are stored on Cloudflare R2.
• Source videos and uploads: deleted within 6 hours after the job finishes.
• Clips and edits: deleted 48 hours after they are made, on every plan during the beta.
• Working files such as transcripts: deleted within 6 hours.
• Account, job history, styles and the credit ledger: kept while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
• Database backups: kept for 14 days, then deleted.

Cookies

We use one cookie of our own, which keeps you signed in. It can't be read by scripts. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) to count visits and tell new visitors from returning ones. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't share analytics data for advertising.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to some processing or to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The service isn't meant for children. If you're under 18, use it only with a parent's or guardian's permission.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
