Using FluidCut
What is FluidCut?
FluidCut is a web app that turns long videos, podcasts and live streams into captioned short clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels, and edits videos you upload from plain-language instructions.
What can I paste or upload?
For clips, a single YouTube video or an uploaded MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM or M4V file up to 2 GB, up to 60 minutes long, or a part of up to 60 minutes from a longer video. Playlists are not supported. For an edit, a video file up to 2 GB and 60 minutes. For live clipping, a YouTube Live, Twitch or Kick channel or live link.
Which should I use, Clip or Edit?
Clip finds the best short moments in a long video, so it needs at least a minute of video. Edit turns one recording, short or long, into a finished video the way you describe it.
How many clips do I get?
Up to 5 per video. Only moments that pass the quality checks are rendered, so some videos return fewer.
What formats can clips be in?
9:16 vertical, 16:9 landscape or square, as 1080p MP4 files with no watermark.
Can I edit a clip after it is made?
Yes. Every clip opens in a timeline editor where captions, titles, B-roll, text and audio are separate layers. You can edit by hand or describe the change to the AI editor.
Do captions work for Hindi and Hinglish?
Yes. Hindi and Hinglish speech is captioned in Roman script, the way most people type it, not in Devanagari.
How does live clipping work?
The stream is recorded in three-minute segments, and each finished segment is clipped while the next one records. Live is in beta: up to 2 streams are captured at once and new sessions may wait in a queue.
How long does processing take?
It depends on the length of the video and how busy the queue is, so expect minutes, not seconds. Your workspace shows your place in the queue.
Credits and the trial
How do credits work?
One credit is one minute of video for clipping. Editing costs 3 credits per minute for each format plus 1 per minute for planning, and live capture costs 2 per minute. You see the cost before every job.
How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with no card required. You get 60 credits to use during the trial. Add a card before it ends to keep the plan; if you do not, the plan pauses and you are not charged.
What if a job fails or finds nothing?
The credits go back to your balance automatically. A video without a strong moment returns no clips instead of filler.
How do I cancel?
Cancel from your billing settings. The plan stops renewing and the credits you already received stay on your account.
Privacy and rights
What happens to my videos?
Projects are private to your account. Source videos and uploads are deleted within hours of processing, and clips and edits are deleted after 48 hours, so download what you want to keep.
Who owns the clips?
You keep all rights to the videos you submit and the clips and edits made from them. You need the rights to any content you clip or publish.
