Feature, beta

Clip a live stream while it is still live.

Paste a YouTube Live, Twitch or Kick link and FluidCut records the stream in three-minute segments. Each finished segment is transcribed and clipped while the next one records, so clips land in your workspace during the stream instead of hours after it ends.

How it works

  1. Paste the channel or live link. YouTube Live, Twitch and Kick are supported.
  2. FluidCut records in segments. The stream is captured in three-minute pieces.
  3. Each segment is clipped. Moments that pass the checks become captioned clips, just like clips from a regular video.
  4. Stop any time. Segments already recorded still get clipped.

Beta limits

Live clipping is in beta with limited capacity. Up to 2 streams are captured at once across the service; when the slots are full, a new session waits in a queue until one frees up.

Cost

Live capture costs 2 credits per minute captured. You can try the first 5 minutes of live capture for free. See pricing.

Questions

Which platforms are supported?

YouTube Live, Twitch and Kick.

Do I need to be the streamer?

You need the rights to clip and publish the stream, as set out in the acceptable use policy. Most people use live clipping for their own streams or for streamers they work with.

How fast do clips arrive?

Each three-minute segment is clipped after it finishes recording, so clips arrive while the stream continues. Exact timing depends on how busy the queue is.
