Feature, beta

Copy an editing style from videos you like.

Paste links to a few public videos with a look you like, or upload 3 to 10 of your own examples. FluidCut measures how they are cut and captioned, writes it up as a style card, and saves it as a private style you can pick when you edit. It copies the editing approach, never the content.

What it measures

A style card lists what FluidCut found in the examples. A real card built from five public short-form videos read:

TraitMeasured
Cut rate2.5 cuts per 10 seconds
Shot lengthmedian 2.5 s
Clip length61 to 90 s
Format9:16
Captionsregular serif, small, centre 72% down, lower case, 4 words at a time
Layoutsfull speaker 78%, b-roll 18%
Hook, first 2 sclose or medium shot of the speaker with a bold question banner
Colour gradenatural colour, high contrast, warm

Measurements such as cut rate and shot length come from the video itself. Descriptions such as the hook and captions come from an AI model reading sample frames, so treat them as a summary.

How a style is used

Pick your style when you edit a video. FluidCut uses its accent colour and caption size, and follows its written description when it plans the cuts, captions and graphics. In a test, a style whose references used a yellow accent produced an edit with yellow caption highlights and key numbers.

How to build one

  1. Add references. Up to 5 YouTube, TikTok or Instagram links to public videos or a creator page, or upload 3 to 10 example videos up to 300 MB each.
  2. Wait a few minutes. FluidCut samples the examples, measures them and writes the style card.
  3. Pick it. Choose your style when you start an edit.

Private by default

Styles are visible only to your account and are never shared with other users. Uploaded examples are deleted after the build. Only use references you are allowed to study, and publish only content you own or have rights to.

Questions

Does building a style cost credits?

No. During the beta you can build up to 8 new styles a month and keep up to 12.

Will my edits look exactly like the references?

No. A style sets caption colour and size and guides how the edit is planned; it does not copy footage, graphics or wording from the examples.

Can I use my own past videos as the reference?

Yes. Upload 3 to 10 of your own videos and FluidCut builds a style from your existing look.
