Feature

Background removal and speaker cutout.

FluidCut can separate the speaker from the background of a clip. In the editor you can then blur the background or replace it with black or white, place a title behind the person, or keep the speaker in front of a B-roll shot, without a green screen.

Three things the cutout lets you do

Change the background

Set the background to blur, black or white, or keep the original. Useful for busy rooms and for a cleaner look on vertical clips.

Put text behind the speaker

Mark a title as behind the speaker and it sits between the background and the person, the layered look common in short-form videos. FluidCut checks that the title stays readable when it renders, and moves it beside the speaker if the person would cover it.

Keep the speaker in front of B-roll

Turn on "Speaker in front" for a B-roll shot and the footage plays behind the person instead of covering them.

How it works

The first time you use one of these tools on a clip, FluidCut finds the speaker in every frame. This takes a few minutes and runs once per clip; after that the preview shows the effect live and the download renders it.
