How to turn a webinar into Reels
To turn a webinar into Reels, upload its saved recording or use a YouTube link, choose vertical output and captions, then review the candidate moments for context. FluidCut processes up to 60 minutes per clip job and can return up to 100 clips that pass its checks. You download the MP4 and publish it yourself.

Can I connect a webinar service directly?
No. FluidCut processes a saved recording, not a live Zoom or webinar meeting connection. Export the video from your webinar service, then upload the file if it is MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM or M4V and no larger than 2 GB. A single YouTube video link can also be used for clipping.
For a long event, process a section of up to 60 minutes at a time. Split the recording at a natural break if the service has chapter or speaker markers. Keep the original recording available while you review the results, since checking context often requires listening beyond the selected clip.
What makes a webinar moment a good Reel?
A useful moment explains one idea with enough setup and a clear ending. A statistic without its comparison, a question without the answer or a demonstration without its result may not work alone. Let FluidCut propose moments, then decide which ones make sense to someone who did not attend the webinar.
The tool can return as many as 100 passing clips, but a shorter list may be better for a focused event. Keep the main question or claim with its response. Avoid using the same fact in several clips unless each version serves a different audience. Check whether the speaker intended the statement for public distribution.
Which layout works for a webinar recording?
Choose vertical 9:16 and select a layout that gives the main subject enough space. A solo speaker often works in a full vertical crop. A screen demonstration may need a split layout or a larger view of the slides. Available options include Screen + cam, Two-up, Speaker + wide, Fit and Auto per scene.
Review each camera cut. Pan can re-aim the crop by shot, and Auto per scene uses detected faces and speaker turns to choose a layout. Neither means the editor tracks an active speaker continuously in every shot. If the clip depends on a particular slide, watch the crop at phone size before downloading.
How do I keep webinar clips understandable?
Check the clip against the transcript and original recording. Keep the full answer, define an acronym or restore a line that explains a statistic. Webinar speakers often refer to “this chart” or “the previous slide,” so a clip may need a small amount of adjacent material to make that reference clear.
Edit the title so it describes the point without exaggerating. Verify names, numbers and technical terms in captions. If the speaker says a claim is preliminary, preserve that qualification. A polished vertical crop can make an old statement look current, so include the event date when that context matters.
How do I correct webinar captions?
Open the selected clip in FluidCut’s timeline and correct transcript words, especially speaker names, product names, acronyms and figures. Caption text is editable after the first render. Chat can adjust size; font and position are set through a trained style. Review the output again after changing the layout.
If the webinar mixes Hindi and English, choose Roman Hinglish or Devanagari and review code-switched phrases. Captions can also be translated into supported languages, but translation should be checked by a fluent reader. A separate layer makes corrections straightforward; it does not guarantee that the first transcript is accurate.
What does it cost to make webinar clips?
Standard clipping costs 1 credit per minute of source video. A 60-minute webinar uses 60 credits at that rate. Auto and Dynamic looks can use different rates, so use the job estimate for the option you select. A free plan has 60 credits each month, enough for up to 60 source minutes at the standard rate.
Editing one webinar into a single video is a separate workflow: it costs 3 credits per source minute for each format plus 1 credit per minute for planning. Rendering an edit in multiple formats uses more credits. Review the pricing page before processing a full event, then decide whether clipping selected moments or editing one summary video is the better first step.
How should I publish the finished Reels?
Download the MP4, review the entire clip and upload it through Instagram or your publishing tool. FluidCut does not post directly to social accounts. Check current platform requirements for aspect ratio, duration, captions and any branded material before sharing. A clip that looks good in a desktop preview can still need a crop check on a phone.
Keep a simple record of the webinar source, selected timestamp, approval status and destination. This helps the team answer where a quote came from and whether it has permission for public use. For the feature workflow and current limits, see the webinar to Reels guide and pricing.
